Description

Direct-To-Film (DTF) Transfers

Direct-to-film has arrived at SparkleBerry Ink, and we are SO READY for it! Simply press and go - all you need is a heat press. DTF transfers are perfect for seasoned, master crafters and beginners just starting their crafting journey.

 

What is Direct-to-film (DTF)? 

Magic Press & Go Direct-to-film (DTF) transfers are full-color, heat-applied transfers suitable for both light and dark garments. No weeding or masking required! DTF transfers can be applied to cotton, cotton/poly blends, and even 100% polyester! (Note: Nylons are not recommended due to the smooth texture, as the adhesive needs to bind to the fibers of the garment.)

 

What will my transfers look like when they arrive?

Our wholesale custom DTF transfers are printed on gang sheets ranging from 22" x 12" to 22" x 108". A gang sheet is a large sheet of transfer film with multiple copies of a design or image arranged together, printed, and then cut and applied individually.

DTF transfers can include full-color graphics, such as photos, gradients/ombres, and effects. These transfers use white ink for additional vibrancy and clarity.

Our bulk/wholesale custom DTF transfer gang sheets are printed on high-quality transfer film, with durable prints that resist cracking for long-lasting results.

 

DTF Print Transfer Application Instructions:

  1. If present, please trim off any color registration strips and order id information from around your image, using scissors. These will transfer to the garment if not removed.
  2. Preheat the garment for 3-5 seconds to remove excess moisture. Let the garment cool before adding the transfer.
  3. Place the transfer on the garment – white side down, image facing up.
  4. Press at 300°F for 15 seconds under very firm pressure.
  5. Remove the garment from the press and let it stand until it is cool enough to peel.
  6. Peel cool.***
  7. Cover the image with parchment paper and press again for 5 seconds. You can use a Teflon sheet, butcher paper, or tissue paper.

***Note: If the image does not come off completely, repress with the image in place, let it cool, and then re-peel the film.

DTF Print Transfer Care Instructions:

  • Turn the garment inside out.
  • Machine wash cold.
  • No bleach. No softener.
  • Do not dry clean or iron.
  • Tumble dry low.
